The good stuff happens inside some shop.
What this is
Pokist is a place to keep lists. It is not a review site or a booking platform — no stars, no rankings, no “most recommended”.
Every place here was put there by someone who actually went, and the line beside it is their own. You follow people, not an algorithm.
Why there are no ratings
A restaurant averaging 4.2 stars tells you nothing. It is the mean of a few hundred people who wanted entirely different things — quiet, fast, or just somewhere to sit. Average them and you get a number that satisfies no one.
“Someone I know recommends it” is far more useful than 4.2. Pokist exists to make that shareable, and to let it accumulate.
Where place data comes from
Every name, address and location follows Google Maps. We do not rewrite business names — the same shop has to be the same shop across everyone's lists, or the whole site falls apart quickly. The name you see changes with your language; the place it points to never does.
Where we are now
3 creators, 16 lists, 271 places. These are real numbers, which is why they are still small.
